The Pittsburgh Penguins are a professional ice hockey team which has founded in the year of 1967. The team has based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The franchise is one of the first expansion team from the six to twelve teams of the original expansion. The Pittsburgh is the member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. They are the defending Stanley cup championships and won three championships in their history. In the NHL 2010-11 seasons the team will play in to their new arena at Consol energy center.

The owners of the team are Mario Lemieux and Ron Burkle, the head coach of the team is Dan Bylsma and the captain is Sidney Crosby. The colors of the team are black, vegas gold and white. The logo of the Pittsburgh has changed in different years, they have used a variation of the skating penguins wearing a scarf. The Penguins clinched the Atlantic first division title in 10 years.

The latest of the 2009-10 seasons is the 42nd season of the franchise in National Hockey League. They will come this season as defending Stanley cup championships, and will start to play in this season on October 2nd. Rosters for the 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver were announced and five players were selected. Their Fans are excited to see the finals of their best team.
